TyrellN6 is a compact but versatile synth based on ideas for a hardware instrument by Amazona (www.amazona.de) that never came to fruition. After many ups and downs with the hardware concept, Urs (u–he) offered to develop a software version as he already had a majority of the proposed features in an early version of Diva. It was eventually agreed that u–he would provide the synth engine if Amazona would take care of everything else, and distribute this version as freeware.
The features include
Virtual analogue with classic architecture plus extras
2 standard oscillators, with a noise module and ring modulator
2 LFOs with 8 waveforms which are host-syncable
Audio source mixer with authentic overdrive and filter feedback
Twin filter related to and early version of Diva
Unison with up to 8 voices
Analogue-type ADSR envelopes which are loopable or LFO-triggered
Small modulation matrix with depth modulation from a second source
Really big chorus effect with 3 modes
MIDI learn / unlearn for hardware control
Resizable UI from 50% to 200%
Skinnable UI
Over 580 factory presets
