Do you also get headaches from extreme heat? You can cool off by using a cold pack on your forehead or on your shoulders and upper back.
Left handed version here: youtu.be/HGQfZav5ubQ
I've created this lacy collar out of cotton yarn that can be soaked in water and used as a cooling compress. Just wet it, squeeze it lightly and lay over your shoulders. It stays in place due to its shape.
Follow the tutorial to make yours out of cotton yarn and a Tunisian crochet hook.
You can also make this as a simple lacy collar to wear for an event.
Add a button and a loop to close it and keep it in place if you intend to move around a lot.
To make it your preferred size, start with a chain of 41, 45 or 49 chains and follow the instructions in the video.
Written instructions are available on the blog for free: yarnandy.com/free-tunisian-crochet-pattern-cooling-collar
PDF versions of this pattern can be found here: coming soon.

This tutorial will show you how to make the first three pattern repeats for the very simple, yet very elegant Kizilkaya shawl pattern. After you learn the pattern repeat, you can make your shawl as large or as small as you want to by continuing the pattern repeat.
If you are interested in a left-handed version, find it here: https://youtu.be/q0TcmmhODfQ
Use any yarn with a long gradient that you have in your stash. This pattern is suitable for a wide range of yarn weights and you can use the hook that goes with your chosen yarn.
The yarn used for the sample in the introduction is called Arya Ebruli, by Nako and one 100 gram skein was used to make the sample shawl.
More details regarding yarns and hooks can be found in the PDF that you can get from here:

![Little sun coaster - summery Tunisian crochet circle pattern [CC]
Make a pretty coaster and learn colorwork techniques in Tunisian crochet with this fun little pattern.
You could make a set of coasters for loved ones, or some of these sun coasters for a housewarming gift, or even for yourself, to put a glass of lemonade on.
The pattern is quick, easy, and you can even use your regular hooks.
You will need 5-6 grams or about 12-15 meters of 3-ply or 4-ply cotton yarn (the thinner kind, size 2, not the kind for making dishcloths), scissors and tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
The finished coaster measures about 8.5 cm or 3 1/4 inches in diameter.
The PDF pattern includes step-by-step photos of the process and is available on a pay what you can basis on some platforms.
