Free speech in Trump’s America: Part 2 The Q&A

Speaking at this year’s Munich Security Conference, the US vice president, JD Vance, declared: ‘Free speech, I fear, is in retreat’, vowing that the Trump administration would ‘fight to defend it’. The early days of the administration suggested this promise would be fulfilled. But now it seems state over-reach may be the order of the day.
The speakers on this engaging panel all defend free speech but take differing views on what’s going on. Following their introductory speeches, here in part 2 a feisty audience raise their concerns and questions.
