This track is based on the 2nd half of the improv section, where they go from D (Trey often plays D7#9) to Bb. It's a fun progression to solo over. You can just wail in D minor pentatonic and it sound pretty good, but it's actually just a small change to go from Dm pentatonic on the D chord, and then Bb major (or G minor) pentatonic...in fact, the scales are almost identical. Sorry I didn't have diagrams handy for this one.
