I finally have this month's free music vote ready to go. I apologize for the delay in getting this ready. My day job (construction) has recently been requiring some heavy, outdoor labor and I've only been able to work on music after hours when I'm half fried and worn out. So I hope the tracks this time around don't feel underwhelming and hold up well.

The first piece is an epic, orchestral build-up called "I Will Find You." I imagined a stand-off between our hero and villain. A controversial turning point where the protagonist realizes he has to stop this evil being at any cost. It features some fast cello and violins, booming percussion, low brass blasts and some choir.

The second track is named "Her Magic Is Strong." It's a dark little venture that uses some deep pads, hollow piano and string effects to create a horrific atmosphere. The central point is the female vocals which start as a sort of chant and change into whispered words. I imagined being lost in the woods and stumbling upon a mystical woman with dark intent.

The third piece is currently untitled and exists as "80's Action Theme." This came to be from a love of cheesy, 1980's action movies. Think Jean-Claude, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Fred WIlliamson. So many of those films seem to start with a synth beat and an aerial shot of a city, so to keep in theme I did the same. This music starts with synthetic plucks that drive the track. Then we bring in our drums and ripping guitar. Finally the Saxophone finishes off that 80's action, borderline jazzy kind of vibe.

"Bloodlines" is next and was supposed to be a sort of hybrid between Native American and western cowboy. That's why I combined the pan pipes, Kiowa flute and tribal maracas with the western sounding guitars. I had in mind a character who was mixed race from two different backgrounds. This track has a sense of purpose and destiny to it, which I imagined this person felt when he finally accepted his heritage and used his strengths from both sides to achieve his goal.

Next we have "The Plot Thickens," which is a Noir feeling underscore. It's a bit minimalist when compared to some of the other tracks, as it only has some light cymbals, a couple guitars and evolving bass work. But I felt that was almost like it's own unique instrument, or element, that lent itself well to the overall feeling of this. I felt like I found a huge piece to the puzzle, yet things were becoming more blurry as I was left with yet more questions than when I'd started.

And lastly we have "Unnamed Peaceful Piano and Flutes." We have the gentle sound of a stream in the background as the piano and soft strings lightly lift under our feet. Finally when the flutes enter, we're in a state of total relaxation and contentment. I almost felt airborne among the clouds with a bird's eye view of the lush greenery just below, only the sound of the trickling stream reminding me that I'm actually firmly on the ground.

I'll start a private poll for the second tier and higher to cast your vote for the piece you want finished. Voting will end June 27th, so you have plenty of time to decide! Whichever track wins will be completed by the end of the month.

Thanks so much for your patience and continued support! I hope you've all been well and I hope you enjoy the music!
