me 🤝 raw editing lately

due to this beautiful video i got as a present for my birthday youtube.com/watch?v=mLANEttqgbo the hiyori x ikuya mood has been pretty strong in the past couple of days. by going through one of my playlists i ran into this song, which i've wanted to edit with them for a long time because the lyrics were just perfect (please check them out), - plus the idea of "drowning", considering the anime is about swimming, you know - and here we are. once again, the video was done very fast somehow

i'd like to personally apologize to mr haruka nanase for always making him look like "the main threat that comes between hiyori and ikuya", but 1) i love angst 2) i'm just exhasperating what was already in the anime tbh

of course everything is from hiyori's pov, he's the one i empathize with the most between the two and i usually tend to edit according to the character whose struggles i feel the most, in this kind of video

that said, i've decided that i'll probably quit editing by the end of 2021. i'm just tired and dissatisfied about everything at this point, so i think my time has finally come. there are still some projects that i'd like to get done before that, mep parts included (plus my own mep that's very close to completion thankfully), so i'm giving myself these last months to work on those

this is still not 100% set in stone, i'll see how i feel about it later on i guess, but i've been thinking about it for a while. i'll message studio leaders in due time of course
