If you're in Rome this Friday May 1st, the Concerto del Primo Maggio takes over Piazza San Giovanni from 3 PM to midnight. Free, around 300,000 people, running every Workers' Day since 1990. This year's lineup has about 40 artists including Litfiba, Geolier, Emma, and Riccardo Cocciante. The area around the basilica gets closed off Thursday afternoon, so plan around it or head over.
