This is kind of a sequel to my previous DW/AtS crossover video, but it can be seen as a separate story of its own. Aaand this took basically exactly four months, which is a pretty long time for me to spend on a video without giving up on it! Edit (25/8/2013): I'm 99% sure I'll be making a prequel video with just Fred and the Doctor as well, just to make this a complete trilogy. Lol my brain.
Anyway, hope you all enjoy this! Keep reading for the (really long) narrative :)
STORYLINE
Having just been "born" into a new shell, Illyria's unstable time travelling capabilities pull her in and out of fixed points in time, and it's in one of them that she sees the Doctor's death. However, he refuses to believe a word she says; he's still angered that Fred had been ripped from her body and used as a vessel for a murderous megalomaniac. Feeling strange affection for him, Illyria withholds the fact that in her vision, she is the one who kills him.
Secretly, the Doctor ponders his prophesied death, as well as the impossible girl he kept running into. Desperate for answers, the Doctor tracks down the Silence, who reveal their plans to neutralise the Doctor using an Old One - the only being they know of strong enough to defeat a Time Lord. Creating multiple copies of Fred was a way to maximise the Doctor's curiosity and they knew he'd eventually find the real girl. But what the Silence never counted on was the extent of Illyria's untempered power, the instability of her time travel, and the fact that she would retain Fred's memories. These memories stall her, making her unable to kill him without remorse.
Deciding Illyria is more of a liability, the Silence sends one of their agents to dispose of her, albeit unsuccessfully. The Doctor finds her bruised and beaten, and patches her up, and they share what they know. He reveals that carrying out the Silence's original plan would rupture time and space due to their insistence of creating multiple alternate universes for Fred. Illyria would draw all universes together, disintegrating any alternate timelines. This is the only way to realign the universe and set it back in order. Illyria knows that this won't bring Fred back, but upon tapping into her memories, she is overwhelmed by Fred's conviction to save the world at all costs. So they carry out the plan as normal and when all is set right, Illyria and the Doctor are left wondering what comes next.
