"House of the Rising Sun"/"Rising Sun Blues" based on various recordings of Doc Watson, Clarence Ashley, and Woody Guthrie. Doc Watson's version on his album "Third Generation Blues" was my biggest influence. Although this song is best known through the 1964 recording of the Animals, it was originally recorded in 1933 by Clarence Ashley and Gwen Foster, and likely dates back to at least the 19th century and possibly before.
