Silly Dark Sun. Just because he looks, sounds, and acts like a girl doesn't mean he is one.

In my canon OC universe, each being has a united soul, but it is possible that that soul can be split in half naturally (like a Left Brain Right Brain thing). This happened to Flamepelt. One half (lets call him Left Brain) was focused on the well-being of Flamepelt, and the other (calling him Right Brain) on him having fun and being social. Left Brain was a jerk to Right Brain, and eventually let himself get taken over by Dark Sun. When Flamepelt died, Right Brain used the last of Flamepelt's life force to get a physical body. It's confusing, I know. When I can I'm using 'Left Brain, Right Brain' to explain their relationship further.
