I saw on reddit some people playing around with the new game rule that allows you to change the tick time for some interesting effects.
I saw this as a chance to try out NVIDIA's new recording feature and put it to the test against FRAPS to see which I would prefer.

The results

FRAPS
File Size - 1.1Gb
Video Time - 30 Seconds
My opinion - The processing power that FRAPS uses takes away from the game and makes chunk loading a lot slower. This makes the video almost un-viewable in a situation like this. The files are very large so you have to be careful not to fill up your hard drive. The main good point is that it allows windowed recording

NVIDIA
File Size - 143Mb
Video Time - 27 Seconds
My opinion - There was no noticeable performance impact like with FRAPS which meant I could use the game exactly as I would do and forget that I was even recording. The file size is decant so you don't need to worry about filling up a hard drive quickly. The only down side to it that I could see was that it does not do windowed recording like FRAPS does but a workaround is pressing F11 to go full screen and do desktop recording

In conclusion NVIDIA is far superior to FRAPS if you can get around the windowed recording problem
