It's December! 'Tis the season to remix some winter vibes, so here it is, the quintessential nostalgic Nintendo winter song: Frappe Snowland from Mario Kart 64! This was a suggestion that popped up on yesterday's stream and I'd been thinking about this song a lot recently. It's done with a bigger than usual emphasis on an 8-bit style, and later on it transitions into some nice Kirby instruments. This was fun to work on, and I hope it also gets you in a happy mood.

I recorded the footage myself and, as you can see, I forgot that this was the Mario Kart that makes you spin out really easily if you do anything. I kept moving the kart rapidly from side to side and bumping into Bowser, though there's a funny moment when I get my revenge on him by absolutely disrespecting him. The recording was too long for the original song, so I made up a little intro to have as much of the *exhilarating* race in the video. I gotta say, I also forgot how much fun this game is to play after you get used to the steering.
