50 years ago, Françoise Wolff filmed on the set during the first days of shooting 𝗝𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝟮𝟯 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗶 𝗱𝘂 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲, 𝟭𝟬𝟴𝟬 𝗕𝗿𝘂𝘅𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀 for a series about women on RTBF. Today, CINEMATEK and the Chantal Akerman Foundation revisit this episode with Françoise Wolff.
In honour of the film’s first presentation on 22.05.1975 during the Directors’ Fortnight, we are screening a new 35mm print produced by the BFI National Archive, based on our CINEMATEK restoration on 22.05 and 25.05. The screening on 25.05, will be accompanied by a lecture featuring Anouk De Clercq and Eva Giolo, who will discuss the legacy of Chantal Akerman’s work, and this film in particular.
