Fiction Beast | Frankenstein - The First A.I. Monster Takeover of 1818 @Fiction_Beast | Uploaded June 2022 | Updated October 2024, 6 hours ago.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley was published exactly 200 years ago, in 1818, but it tells the story of human's obsession to push the boundaries of science which kind of mirrors today's world. The result of an untamed scientific project is the unintended monster. One of the central question it poses is this: what happens when men do not have women? What does lonliness do to men? Today we live in a world in which men and women are moving apart so can Frankenstein tells us about today's world? Can it be a mirror to how human societies are heading towards an uncertain future? In this video I summarise the novel and discuss it main themes and try to answer these questions.
