Recently my trusty 9 year old Kahtoola Microspikes bit the dust, so I decided I would look at lower cost options because not even the budget conscious deserve to wipe out on ice. So, here is the hike I intended to do when my spikes broke, but this time with the my new FRANDEK Crampons (Microspikes). These are the Amazon "cheapies" and we'll see how they stack up.
