Francis Ngannou And Jon Jones Fight Is COMING In March..

Xtreme Couture head coach Eric Nicksick has revealed that the UFC recently reached out to ask him who heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou prefers to fight next – and there appears to be synergy. Nicksick told MMA Junkie Radio this past weekend that, in the conversation with an unnamed UFC executive, he made it clear that he would like Ngannou to face Jon Jones in the first quarter of 2023. In the meantime, Nicksick and Ngannou have been working together toward a return to competition.
There is a lot of contingent on Ngannou vs. Jones materialized, but it is the only fight to make it at heavyweight. Ngannou and UFC need to reach terms on a new contract, and UFC president Dana White's actions -- or lack thereof -- on Saturday night speaks volumes on how that could go. Jones, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, has not competed since February 2020 as he himself deals with his own contractual issues. Jones has also never competed at heavyweight. Regardless, Ngannou vs. Jones is both the most lucrative and most meaningful bout at heavyweight, given that both fighters are able to get the money they deserve for accepting that fight.
