In 2012, Dr. Julia Osman, professor of history at Mississippi State University and the Society of the Cincinnati’s 2008 Tyree-Lamb Fellow, discussed the French involvement in North America during the Seven Years War, along with their later involvement in the American Revolution. In an effort to create educational resources for high school classrooms, the initially segmented presentations highlighted the French during the Seven Years War in North America, the marquis de Lafayette and the comte de Rochambeau, the Franco-American victory at Yorktown, and King Louis XVI’s role in the American Revolution. This video offers all four of Dr. Osman’s presentations in one complete and continuous video, with remastered imagery.
