Hot water, heavy duty cycle/low water level plus heaps of dishwashing liquid and two scoops of Surf equals Suds Lock. On the ramp up to 670rpm, the motor quickly senses the increased friction from a build up of suds between the inner and outer tubs, and immediately progresses to the deep fill rinse.
Interestingly, earlier models went back to the main wash cycle, and filled with cold water (even if warm or hot was selected), rather than skipping forward to the deep rinse.
