Australasian Smart Drive machines have a selectable "Eco" option. This gives a series of shower rinses and spins, without a deep rinse. It is off by default.
But North American Eco-Smart models use this as the default rinse. To have a normal spray rinse, then deep rinse, there is a "Softener Rinse" option.

I mainly annotated this clip so I could have a record of the sequence for Regular cycle, Medium water level.
