When Jackson Baird arrived at the University of Kentucky as a first-year student, he never imagined he would one day help represent the voices of students across campus. Now, as a graduating senior in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment and student body vice president in the UK Student Government Association, he leaves behind a story shaped by leadership, service and growth.
Raised on a small dairy and beef farm in Spencer County, Kentucky, Baird found a home in Martin-Gatton CAFE, where he built confidence, discovered his passions and embraced opportunities that helped define his college experience. From agricultural economics to student advocacy, his journey reflects how students can grow into leaders who make a real difference in the lives of others.
