We found this isolated mansion deep in the French countryside and were absolutely shocked by what we found inside. The property was completely open on all sides, welcoming us into a forgotten world. For decades, Chateau ItaliaFranca has been rotting away with incredible antiques, rare tapestries, and personal treasures still inside. You won’t believe this, but even the electricity still works!
After combing through endless piles of documents, we pieced together the incredible rise and tragic fall of the Lambert family. The story begins in the 18th century, but the true drama unfolds in the post-war years. We discovered heart-wrenching letters from 1949 between a young woman named Nara and her love, Albert, detailing a life of romance and literature.
But the twist in the story creates a mystery: records indicate the family won a massive 2 million franc lottery jackpot in the 1960s. This fortune filled the home with priceless Louis XV mirrors, rare African art, and massive Aubusson tapestries that still hang on the walls today.
However, money couldn’t stop the inevitable. By the 1990s, the house fell into silence. Diaries from the era speak of illness and isolation, leaving Nara alone in this massive estate. Today, it stands as a perfect, heartbreaking time capsule of 20th-century French culture, a place with a soul that we are eager to share with you.
