Jerome C. Wakefield is a professor at New York University’s Silver School of Social Work. He also has appointments at NYU's School of Medicine, Department of Philosophy, School of Global Public Health, Center for Bioethics, and Center for Ancient Studies. His research interests address the history and philosophy of psychiatry, the philosophy of psychoanalysis, philosophy of mind, the conceptual foundations of social work, and integrative theories in psychotherapy.
