In this video, I present to you our first ever road trip on Forza Horizon. Ever since we got hold of this game we knew it would be perfect for road trips, with amazing graphics, awesome cars and luxurious locations! And to start things off, I thought we would go for a cruise in our Ferrari's!
Each individual had their own Ferrari which they bought along for the trip, ranging from me in my California, to ii UniversaL x in his Enzo, to IxKnocKouTz in his Testa Rossa! All the cars ranged from old to new, adding much variety to the trip in terms of style! And in typical Ferrari tradition, they're all in Red!
For the route, we started off in Eagle Ridge down by the farm, by a very nice looking home with small garages and a shed. We set off and head down the open roads towards the Horizon Festival whilst taking a detour off-road, to see how our cars handle it! When we get back on to the road, we take the cars down by the golf course and through the media centre where we then head up into Red Rock! From here we went up the lush mountain sides and through the tunnels built into the mountain. Then we finally end our cruise at the very top of Red Rock, with a view to remember!
The trip lasted around 9 minutes, so there is a good chunk of driving in the video! Which I know alot of people enjoy watching instead of cars constantly racing and smashing into each other.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 is heavily linked to this game in terms of how they're both played, which is one of the main reasons I decided to go ahead and organise a Ferrari Road Trip first, as I also organised my first Test Drive Unlimited 2 road trip to be a Ferrari cruise also. Fortionatly, Horizon's servers are much better than TDU 2, and in my opinion the game is just better in general! Which allowed us to make a road trip which we very much enjoyed participating in.
The music is always important for a road trip, so starting off with the classic "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, then moving on to "All Star" by Smash Mouth, then finally we have "Highway to Hell" by ACDC. Three great tunes that should keep the trip flowing nicely throughout!
This is our first road trip on Horizon, so there may be a few mistakes! Including the main one which was connection issues, during the road trip there were some pretty bad lagging points where cards flew around and smashed into each other which I managed to edit out! But in the video you will see the occasional lag which unfortionatly I can do nothing about.
I would like to give a huge thanks to everyone who helped in this video, especially TRiXONA who unfortionatly had connection problems and volunteered to sit out of this trip, so all credit goes to him and I'm sure we'll see him soon in the upcoming trips!
