Assetto Corsa is always my gold standard for VR sim racing... but sometimes, I just want pure, unadulterated arcade fun without thinking like an engineer.
In this video, we’re stepping out of the simulation comfort zone and jumping headfirst into Forza Horizon 6! Set in the breathtaking, neon-soaked streets and mountain passes of Japan, this game completely blew me away visually—but it launched without native VR support. Look how they massacred my boy!
Naturally, I wasn't going to let that stop me. I strapped on the Meta Quest 3, fired up Virtual Desktop, mapped out my direct-drive wheel, and threw this chaotic arcade racer onto my full motion simulator setup. The result? Absolute, terrifying, beautiful chaos. From cross-country jumps that launch you into the stratosphere to literally racing a giant 90s anime Mech, this turned out to be one of the scariest and most hilarious experiences I've had in the studio.
We’re also taking a trip down memory lane to where this obsession started—from shrinking the gameplay window of Need for Speed II on an old 486 PC just to get a few frames, to spending countless hours custom tuning cars and chasing the dream BMW M3 GTR in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005).
