Nine days ago, I made a short video explaining that the forums had been permanently closed, and I tweeted a link to that video without comment. Today, I have received a reply from Artlist. In fact, I've received four replies, all on Twitter.
The first reply reads,
Hey, we understand the forum closure may have come as a surprise. We completely understand your disappointment, but please know that the decision was not made lightly- there were plenty of considerations.
Then, two more replies immediately followed,
We do want to reiterate that our community is, and has always been, important to us and to assure you that we will continue to support you in other ways. You can always get in touch with us on social media and our Discord remains active as well.
And then,
We know that this is a big change and want to assure you that we are committed to making some big and important changes and are excited to release them soon.
On a secondary note, after Triem Visual replied,
Yeah. Would have been nice if the announcement from the person "proud" to be "integral" had been Josh, Kirstie or Phil, not a 1st-post N00B.
Artlist replied with,
We understand that it would have been more reassuring to receive this msg from a familiar face. However, FXhome is part of the Artlist family now, and all of us, together, make up this community. Our intent was honest communication and if we have offended anyone, we are sorry.
