Dearly beloved... We are gathered here today to mourn the death of the PlayStation and Xbox brand. These past few days have become indicators that the people in charge are willing to kill their chances of success to make a quick buck, whether it means closing studios that are currently working on games that we just found out exist or cancelling the production of game discs in two years. You can try and bully them out of these terrible business decisions, but I live in reality, and the reality is that Sony and Microsoft will not be swayed your social media posts and YouTube videos demanding they reverse course, because they won't. Let's that straight right the fuck now. And because they won't, it's safe to say that Nintendo will steamroll them when their next gen consoles consoles come.
It's like we learned nothing from Sega and Atari's hubris...
