Forrest Mim's Stepped Tone Generator *with a twist
In this video we assemble the Forrest Mims Stepped Tone Generator (n5dux.com/ham/files/pdf/Forrest%20Mims%20-%20555%20Timer%20IC%20Circuits.pdf). The circuit uses a 556 with one side being set up as a free running oscillator and the other as a frequency divider. By adjusting the values of potentiometers on both the A and B sides we can charge the frequency and get some very interesting effects.
But I wanted to do more and add a little something to the control voltage pin on the oscillator side.
