Formidable Shield 2021 was an exercise that took place in May 2021 that tested the ability of NATO allies and partners to respond to the latest, most advanced maritime threats. Hosted by QinetiQ at the MOD Hebrides range, the event successfully brought together ten NATO countries to improve their integrated air and missile defence capabilities, through a series of live missile firings and demonstrations.
