Thought I would see if the owner has made any efforts to protect this listed building yet but no, its even worse.
This is yet another Derby listed building that needs a lot of TLC, It’s located at Number 2 Becket Street, This is exactly opposite the 1871 building (former Derby education department offices later was Berlins nightclub) It was built as an annexe to that building in 1892.
As you can see in my video someone has stolen all the lead flashing from every chimney surround and also from the flat areas of stonework at the top and the roof gullies.
You can clearly see the difference in the tile colour around chimney stacks where the lead flashing has been removed.
The roof is littered with the discarded tiles by whoever has done this and the plastic protective cover on the skylight has been pulled back.
Looking back through my old drone footage from around here in May 2022, the roof was intact then, lead all in place and skylight in place too.
In April 2024 When I filmed the building on the other side of the road for the Victorian Society I can see that the lead flashing had been stolen then and a protective sheet over the skylight had been peeled back.

It was Grade II listed in February 1977 but as we know listing a building doesn’t seem to mean anything these days. The building was in use in April 2019 but by October 2020 it was boarded up and since then has deteriorated considerably.
Currently this building is up for let by FHP (Fisher Hargreaves Proctor), Looking at the photographs in their listing they were taking a very long time ago as the building as severely deteriorated since then, doubt very much that the inside views look like that now as its been open to the elements for over two years !

Its made of red brick but with stone dressing, on the ground floor its ashlar-faced and rusticated.
It has voussoirs (wedge-shaped or tapered stone used to construct an arch) and a figurehead keyblock.
At the end of my video you can see the location of this property relative to the new Vaillant Live arena, Its right next to it !

Information on my drone flying :
● My drone is a Class C0 drone sub-250g type, because its such a lightweight drone (236g), I'm allowed to fly it over residential and commercial property and people (but not crowds) without permission.
● I passed the theory test and have both valid flyer ID and Operator ID's.
● I have drone insurance (£5 million public liability insurance cover).
● I strictly follow all the CAA guidelines on flying my drone.
● I always fly in Cinematic mode (slow speed) as this is safer in urban environments.
● I plan all of my flights in advance of taking off to ensure I know my complete flight path and am aware of any obstacles in the way.
● In order to maintain VLOS (visual line of sight) with my drone I use extremely bright Strobe lights, if there are trees or buildings in my way then I have to land and carry on from a different location this means that I often have to join bits of flights together, I try and line up edits using telemetry to match altitude and position etc. but its not always possible to get good joins in clips so this can mean jump cuts and fades between clips.
● I carry out a risk assessment before each flight and ensure all batteries fully charged, GPS has a good fix etc.
● I always engage with anyone nearby informing them the reason for my flight.
