Please, be very cautious when cleaning acid remains from electronic devices like radios, mp3 players and remote controllers.
Battery liquids are acidic and corrosive, therefore, irritating to skin, poisonous and might cause damage if in any contact with the eyes.

Use gloves while cleaning, as per below instructions:

Use an old toothbrush to gently remove any sign /residue from the battery compartment.
Dampen a cloth with vinegar or lemon juice to neutralize any remaining leakage, then wipe the area clean with plenty of tap water.
Wait to dry... :-D
