The Incredible Shrinking Man made me think of something bizarre? If most movies around that time were PG and adaptations of Novels that weren't 100% PG, was there a vocal outcry from people that read the books that the movies were for babies? Thinking about today's climate, I could see a similar discourse back in the 1950s about censorship given what the film didn't include from the novel. Did people even care or were they even aware?
