In this video, we go for our second build from the game hollow knight. This time, the hornet's needle.
Forged from a single piece of 5160 spring steel and heat treated to form a fully functional, battle ready blade. It is 64" long and weighs about 10 lbs....it is quite simply a monster of a sword.
Techniques explored in this build include forge welding, power hammer work, fullers, lots of angle grinder work and of course heat treating, including annealing, hardening and tempering. Check us out on Instagram for more pictures at instagram.com/thakironworks.
