Forging a Cu Mai damascus billet and doing it by hand with a hammer! There really isn't a ton of info out there on how to do this type of Go Mai billet. A San Mai billet is three layers, a Go Mai billet is a damascus billet that consists of five layers and a Cu Mai billet is the same layer count with the difference being that two of the five layers are made of copper! It really creates some striking patterns that are breathtaking if you ask me! In part-1 I will talk to you about my experimental process and make the billet! In part-2 I will be making the blade and part-3 will be covering the handle of the knife. I hope to see you at each video along the way! Cheers
