In 1963, Carolyn Crawford won a talent contest sponsored by a local Detroit radio station, in which the first prize was to record three songs for Motown Records. Her first release, "Forget About Me", was written by her and produced by Holland, Dozier, Holland. It was not a hit, but remains a Northern Soul favorite, especially for fans of the Motown Sound.
