Hello everyone, so once again as it is yearly tradition I have joined the European Day of Languages project showcasing my native language, greek, turn on captions to see the translation of the song as usual~
So actually, this whole edit had a concept, which was to use characters from Sumeru that have _some_ relation to the desert, thats why you see only characters who have either been to the desert or are from it. The thing is that made sense with the song in its original version, which sadly got blocked worldwide (this hasnt happened to me in ages so I was shook). I struggled to find a version of the song that would be okay and this live version worked thankfully, but!!! its still not what I had in mind for the edit, so I will link the original in the desc as well, bc it truly fits so much better TT Please give it a watch, I beg (btw there is a slight difference in the captions bc the live version included an extra verse so ignore that KJSDKJSD)

Anyway I had fun editing this, I usually go for angst for EDL but this year I wanted to do something that would just showcase characters being cool (if only the intstrumental of this didnt ruin the vibe jksdjksdkjsd) but anyway I hope you enjoy it! Also this song is actually one of the songs a karaoke game I had when I was 7-8 had as an option and this is why it induced nostalgia to hear this new version (both the live and the one in the link are different from the original), so yeah JKDSKJS that helped me edit it even though it;s not really my type of song normally?? Lastly I wanted the characters who are showecased here to be a bit more bossy type?? Kaveh isnt really bossy so he is just there too bc I love him JKDSJKSD

AHHHH ITS JIANG CHENG DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ofc I had to make something for my son. He means so much to me, I honestly have never kept at it and made such long gifts for fictional characters before (for 3 years in a row too). I have so many emotions about Jiang Cheng and everything he goes through honestly. Its been 3 years and I still love him so much and even more honestly T_T
I actually have been rather busy so I ended up starting this project really late (on Sunday) and rushed through it but!!! Its 2 mins!!!! That was my goal, honestly I didnt want to be a disappointment and edit something short. Jiang Cheng deserves a long video! SO HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIANG CHENG, YOU ARE AMAZING, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH.
For the edit itself, I remembered this song at random and realized how well it suited him??? and then I finished the scenes really fast. Its a little simple since its long, I couldnt find a way to include typography in a satisfactionary way either. I think it really suits him though, the lyrics, about never letting go and hanging on, no matter how hard things are (WE ARE IGNORING THE DONGHUA MESSING HIM UP, HE IS STILL KEEPING AT IT DONGHUA PLS STFU) I hope you guys enjoy it!!!
