This short movie shows our guilds log builder/forester Andrew and his son Andy cutting down by hand an old pine tree for our log buildings. Trees are cut down in the winter time by the new moon, following an old carpenters calendar when is the best time to cut down the trees for buildings so that the timber once it will dry during the years become strong, hard and durable.
