I just had a feeling that these two themes would blend together amazingly well. It helps that Woodfall is so heavily percussive, so the Forest Temple synth is kind of left on its own.
Finding the right tempo was one of the trickiest bits. The original tempos are pretty far apart (Forest Temple is 96bpm, Woodfall is 120bpm) and I settled on a compromise that's almost in the middle (108bpm). I love that it creates a sense of push and pull all at once – the Forest temple elements feel rushed, and the Woodfall elements drag. You're left discombobulated, in all the right ways. Good luck finding that boss key.
