The Ford Mustang GTD just smacked down the Corvette ZR1X in Germany and is back on top as the fastest American production car at the Nurburgring, beating the Chevy ZR1X by over 9 seconds!
The new record is thanks to the Mustang GTD Competition variant, which has more horsepower, better aero, and better tires than the original GTD. By the way, Ford says a street-legal version of the GTD competition is on the way.
For now, all GM can do is hold the massive L Ford just handed it. That is, until it fights back with an even faster Corvette to re-take the record. Either way, we win because this American Supercar battle is fire.
