In 2001 Colin McRae was competing for victory on the world stage, Battling Richard Burns for the Drivers’ title.
Colin had previously drove for SUBARU and won the title in 1995. In 1999 he moved to Ford and competed in their new Focus RS Rally car for multiple seasons.
His time with Ford was immortalised in Colin McRae Rally 2.0 (DiRT’s ancestor). 20 years later, the Ford Focus RS Rally 2001 is yours to drive in DiRT Rally 2.0.
Colin battled hard against SUBARU’s Richard Burns all season, and after a few early retirements went on to take a string of victories.
Colin would win three rallies in a row, culminating in a dominant performance at the brutally-tough Rally Greece.
Greece was a location that was notoriously tough on cars and drivers, however that couldn’t stop Colin from winning there five times.
Nobody has won Rally Greece as many times as Colin McRae, and his record is set to stand for many years to come.
