Yes, it is that time of year where KT Racing realise they have made many mistakes. The latest patch to the game changes the driving physics, setup parameters on the cars and fixes the throttle issue. So that means all setups that came before the update are now pretty much useless. Yay!

So lets run through the changes from the previous setup.

Springs and dampers are now softer than they where before but achieve the same effect before the update.

With the diffs its just a slight tightening on the preload to compensate for the throttle actually doing what its meant to be doing. To compensate for the tightening of the preload I had to slightly loosen the braking.

Finally and this is a big one... I had to alter the gear ratios and final drive because well the previous settings where no longer available and not usable at all.
Final drive is now at max top speed, 5th is now at max top speed at 1.200 where as before it was at 1.00.
This update has limited the top speed of the rally3 fiesta to around 110mph. It can go no faster. where as before I was hitting 115mph and it still had a little more to give if the straight was longer.
If you put the final drive at the middle point it tops out at around 100mph and the lowest setting will top out just under 90mph.
1st gear has now been adjusted to 3.000 aka max accel.
WARNING! If the turbo pressure is not at max when you release the handbrake the car will bog down and crawl away from the start. 3.000 also limits 1st to 31mph. However if you adjust it to 2.900 first is limited to 42mph which bogs down no matter what you do (both examples are at final drive set to max). So the gearing setup is well... broken for this car but I have done my best.

So with these minor tweaks and dodgy gearing because of updated physics, adjusted setup parameters and a throttle pedal that actually works.... the question on many people lips is.. can you get more time out of the car? the answer is YES... 3.2s to put a number on it and its largely down to the throttle peddle doing what is is mean to be doing.
