In today's video, I take you through my journey of replacing the timing chains on my 2008 Ford Explorer with a 4.0l V6 SOHC engine. This job is very labor intensive, time consuming and must be done properly. I wouldn't attempt this job if you do not already have experience working on engines. In that video we tore the engine apart to discover the source of the loud engine rattle, which turned out to be failed timing chains, guides and tensioners. In today's video we replace all of those broken components!
