Greetings viewers and welcome! Today I got to dig into a Ford Expedition with the customer complaint of no 4X4 operation after the first snowfall of the year. While the timing might have been bad it was a perfect opportunity to look closer into Fords Integrated Wheel End (IWE) front axle system and fin the fix. This video may also be helpful if you are a Ford F- series pickup, Lincoln Navigator or other SUV with the vacuum operated IWE 4X4 system. In some cases a malfunction in the IWE system can cause a gear type ratcheting noise under acceleration or as in this case no engagement of the front axles at all. Watch this video for more helpful information and find out why Dorman brand parts can save the day in a pinch!
