During World War II, Ford transformed car factories into war production machines. At the Willow Run plant, Ford produced more than 8,600 B-24 Liberator bombers for the Allied war effort.

At peak production, one bomber rolled off the assembly line every 63 minutes. The same system that once built cars was now building warplanes at record speed.

This was industrial power on a scale the world had never seen.
