SEGAs OutRun got released for Nintendo Switch the other day as part of M2s sublime SEGA AGES series, and brought with it a bunch of newly arranged tracks.
This track is Midnight Highway from OutRun 3-D on the SEGA Master System, re-arranged by Sakuoki Kudo (sdhizumi). This version is actually streamed in the game, rather than played back through the game itself - apparently there were a few things Kudo wanted to do with the track that he couldnt if restricted to the original hardware. Like Drivers Megamix, this is why its represented ingame as an audio cassette.
Hopefully these new tracks receive an official release! The 3DS tracks were added to the OutRun soundtracks on Spotify and iTunes, so who knows?
