I hope you guys enjoy this art journal process video alongside this new song by Carly and Martina!
This is a collaboration we did together to visually represent their song "For Life"
I created the art journal spreads whilst listening to their song, which inspired everything from the colour palette to patterns and images used.
"Creating our album “Are You Listening?” was a very visual experience for us. We saw colors and scenes in our heads through the music. We knew we wanted to create a visual experience for all of you and that we wanted to highlight other artists we admire, so the visual album concept was born. This portion of the visual album is inspired by our song “For Life” and features an artist by the name of Johanna Clough. Here’s a statement from her:"
“I’m big on taking opportunities to share art whenever they appear, and I was so excited to be invited to do this collaboration with Carly and Martina! Journaling and art journaling is a form of art with many layers of meaning and expression. It’s a great way to tell stories and feelings, and just like with music, it can be interpreted in a different way by each person that views it.”
