We've unveiled a national blue plaque for footballer Jack Leslie in Plymouth. 🔵
This year marks 100 years since Leslie became the first Black footballer to be called up for England in October 1925, only for the offer to be rescinded shortly afterwards.
Leslie later made history again as the first Black captain of an English Football League team, Plymouth Argyle FC (@PlymouthArgylefc).
The plaque is placed at 8 Glendower Road in Plymouth, the home Jack shared with his wife and daughter during the height of his football career.
