“Fools Fall in Love” (1957, Lieber & Stoller).
Ursula Sargent - lead & backing vocals, piano, drums, violin
Conrad Cayman - guitar, bass
Taken to #10 on the charts by The Drifters in 1957, and #9 on the country charts by Jacky Ward in 1977. Also covered by Elvis Presley in 1966.
I’ve never met the extremely talented multi-instrumentalist Ursula in person, just became a fan of her work on the Acapella app. I believe this is our first time working together. The only reason she’s not playing bass and guitar on this is because I needed something to contribute! Also featuring the Covid pompadour, so I embraced my inner greaser
Our version is a combination of The Drifters version, with violin licks from the 1961 Carla Thomas version.
