When choosing the next king to lead His people, God revealed that He wasn’t searching for a person with the right experience, gifts, talents, or stature, He was seeking a heart, a heart of a person who was already His and a heart that He could entrust with His flock.
With God, what qualifies a person isn't our outward qualifications, but rather our inward devotion, individuals who are completely devoted to serving Jesus Christ through serving His people.
The beauty of the gospel starts with the beauty of love of Jesus Christ, followed by His unmatched desire to seek, save, equip, and use the unqualified, the disqualified, and the least qualified to establish His Kingdom. And, in a heartbeat, qualified, called, anointed, and empowered the recently spiritually dead and blind and the recently broken and lost to preach and teach the Gospel, and work mighty deeds and miraculous miracles.
