Evolution takes place when an organism who has adapted to survive passes on their traits to the next generation so that they may pass it on to their offspring and so on. Those with the means to survive live on, while those who are not die off. That is evolution as it's most basic form. So, when you have an organism like modern day humans, it brings up the question: can we evolve? We do not have to have certain genes in order to survive. If it's cold out we put on a coat. If it's warm we stay inside the air conditioning. There is no human who is better fit to survive. We are all fit to survive in our habitat. So, can we evolve? Or will we stay the same for the rest of our existence?
