By Tuesday, the sun had cleared most of the weekend snow in the open areas. There were forecasts for showers though, so we got out to Canche Aux Merciers by 9am. The rain held off and we climbed through the day, eventually hitting a wall around 4pm that required us to head home to top up our energy reserves with baguettes and cheese.
The close proximity of so many quality boulders at Canche blew us away. We spent time repeating a couple of stellar blue circuit lines, ticked off Keo, and then spent time projecting Gros Doigts and Parabellum (which James managed to get and will be shown in his film). James and I finished off with a team send of Radio Crochet.
On Wednesday we continued to explore some of the quickest drying areas Font has to offer, more overnight showers had narrowed our choices. We first ventured to the far side of Bas Cuvier, looking for Duroxmanie and other fun lines, but we left here quickly without any inspiration. We stumbled back in the direction of the main part of Bas Cuvier, accidently taking the longest route possible amongst the overgrown shrubbery where we briefly toyed with the possibility that we might have somehow gotten lost in Font's most popular roadside crag.
On a grey day, we warmed up with some orange circuits before jumping on Charcuterie and Cortomaltese, two classics that were unusually quiet given they were some of the driest problems at the crag.
